Worcester, MA -The Worcester Bravehearts have officially announced an exclusive partnership deal with Bancroft School which will focus on many community events both around Central Massachusetts and at Fitton Field during Bravehearts games this Summer.
"We are very excited to have Bancroft School be an official partner of the Worcester Bravehearts on these great initiatives,” said Bancroft Head of School Trey Cassidy. “Both organizations value the importance of investing in our great community of Worcester and the surrounding region and we look forward to being a part of the fun this summer and beyond.”
Bancroft School will be the presenting sponsor of the Bravehearts’ “Little League Takeovers” where the team will go to surrounding little leagues in the Central Massachusetts area and put on their “show” during a game. The games will be announced by Worcester Bravehearts announcers with walk-up music for the players and will feature some staples of Bravehearts games including t-shirt tosses, hot dog eating contests, and other fun in-between inning promotions. The Bravehearts’ Mascot Jake the Lion, promotional staff members and former Bravehearts players will also be in attendance.
“One thing that clicked right off the bat during these discussions was the commitment to helping the community while also making the game of baseball fun and accessible for everyone,” said Bravehearts Director of Fan Experience Donny Porcaro. “I am extremely excited to get this partnership started and work with Bancroft to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for the youth baseball fans and players in the Central Massachusetts area. This is all a part of Twenty-Twenty-You. We want to bring our show to you”.
The partnership will get students not only from Bancroft, but also from all elementary schools in the area involved in the fun. In a new promotion, Bancroft School and the Worcester Bravehearts will partner together for “Bravehearts Birthday Parties,” where kids who celebrate their birthdays at the Bravehearts will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the team press box and be on the field while the entire crowd sings “Happy birthday.”
“We admire Bancroft School and its ability to inspire students to discover their talents and passions,” said Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson. “While we do everything we can to support our student-athletes on the field, we also put an emphasis on their academic success and community involvement so that they form a solid foundation for a lifetime of growth and success. That’s why this partnership is so important to us, and I thank Trey Cassidy and the entire faculty for trusting the Bravehearts to carry on this message in the neighborhoods of greater-Worcester.”
