Charlie Coyle to Headline Hockey Night

Worcester, MA- On July 30th, the Worcester Bravehearts will host a Hockey Night promotion for their game against the Pittsfield Suns. This night, sponsored by Bay State Savings Bank, will feature a Worcester Railers themed t-shirt giveaway and current Boston Bruin Charlie Coyle, who will participate in many of the team’s promotions including a signed t-shirt toss.

A Weymouth, MA native, Coyle has been with the Boston Bruins since 2018 when he was traded over from the Minnesota Wild. The ten-year NHL veteran played a key-role in the Bruins’ trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2019 and has been an impact player since he arrived in Boston.

Over his career, Coyle has recorded over 300 points, including 115 goals in over 600 games played. Drafted in the first round in 2010 by the San Jose Sharks, Coyle was traded as a prospect to the Wild where he then spent his first seven seasons in the NHL before being traded to his hometown team.

“We are extremely excited to partner with the Worcester Railers and Bay State Savings Bank for Hockey Night,” said Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson. “We hope that our t-shirt giveaway and Charlie Coyle add excitement to what already promises to be a wonderful night.”

“As the only mutual savings bank still headquartered in Worcester, Bay State Savings Bank recognizes that Worcester is truly our home,” said Diane Giampa of Bay State Savings Bank.  “We are so proud of our continuing relationship with organizations like the Bravehearts and the Railers, because we see every day that their commitment to the community is as strong and sincere as ours.  ‘Hockey Night with the Worcester Railers’ is a great opportunity to bring everyone together for a great night of baseball and entertainment for the whole family.”

Tickets for Hockey Night are on sale now at worcesterbravehearts.com or by calling the ticket office at 508-438-3773. T-shirts will be given away to the first 500 fans through the gates on Friday night.
