Bravehearts on NESN August 8

WEYMOUTH, Mass. (July 28, 2020) -- The Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) is excited to announce that all six teams will be featured in three regionally-televised games on New England Sports Network (NESN) during the month of August.

FCBL Commissioner Joe Paolucci made the announcement on Tuesday. The three-game package on NESN brings the best summer collegiate baseball in New England to a wide audience of viewers, marking the league’s first-ever partnership with a linear television network.

All three games as part of the FCBL’s 10th season of play are slated to air exclusively on NESN. The series kicks off on Monday, Aug. 3 when the New Britain Bees host the Westfield Starfires at 6:30 p.m.

The two remaining games will be 1 p.m. Saturday matinees, beginning with the defending champion Worcester Bravehearts traveling to Campanelli Stadium to face the Brockton Rox on Aug. 8. The final televised game on Aug. 15 features the Nashua Silver Knights and North Shore Navigators from Historic Holman Stadium.

“Partnering with NESN is an exciting opportunity for the Futures League,” Paolucci said. “Our league is filled with a great deal of high-end talent this summer, and we are excited to showcase our brand of baseball, our teams and players to fans all over New England and beyond.”

NESN, the home of Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins coverage, is consistently one of the top-rated regional sports networks in the country. This summer, the FCBL joins Hockey East and numerous schools throughout New England including Northeastern, Harvard and Boston University as part of an extensive lineup of collegiate programming.
