Bravehearts Offense Explodes

Bristol, CT- The Bravehearts scored a run in every inning for the first seven innings on route to a 16-2 win over the Bristol Blues. Paul Coumoulos started the scoring in the first with a single and would go on to tally two more RBIs in the game with another single and a triple. Nicholas Martin brought in four runs himself with a single and a three-run home run. Jack Gardner brought in three more on two doubles, and Ben Rice drove in two runs on two singles. Ben McNeill rounded out the offense with a sacrifice fly of his own. Trevor Johnson rounded out the scoring in the ninth with an RBI single.

Bristol eventually got on the board in the sixth with a sacrifice fly and a single to bring the score to 14-2.

Starting pitcher Angelo Baez dazzled in his third start for the Bravehearts, recording seven innings of work where he gave up two runs on four hits. Baez carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning. Jack Moynihan closed out the game for the Bravehearts, recording two shutout innings in which he allowed only two hits.

The Bravehearts continue their road trip tomorrow, July 6th, in Westfield at 6:30pm.
